Describe a talk you gave to a group of people
You should say:
Who you gave the talk to
What the talk was about
Why you gave the talk
And explain how you felt about the talk
As an office worker, I rarely talk in public or in front of many people. However, there was a talk I delivered about 2 years ago, and I still remember it vividly now.
At that time, I was still working at my previous company, and my boss asked me to give a speech about the importance of building inner power and learning things by principles. He asked me to do it because I care a lotabout these topics, and he also thought that these were really important to everyone. However, I was still very nervous when receiving that request because I was often shy in public. My boss was really supportive when he helped me with the content and rehearsal before the speech.
On the day the presentation took place, I stood in front of the whole company and shared what I’d learned about the 2 topics. I didn’t expect much about this speech, but it seemed like it really touched everyone. People gave me a lot of compliments and constructive questions after the speech, and of course I was really happy.
Though now I rarely have any speech in public, I still hope that one day I’ll have a chance to share what I know to other people again.
